“One of the biggest challenges facing business today is how to attract, retain and develop the talent essential to deliver Digital Transformation. Hiring for specific technical skills is difficult and is becoming increasingly expensive as traditional talent pools shrink. The pace of digital evolution only compounds the issue. We are short of digital talent today – and need to ensure a pipeline of talent to build the technology of tomorrow.
Demand for digital talent currently outstrips the supply of digital skills and the UK is facing a major talent shortage. Crucially, too, it’s important to report and evidence the increases you make in the representation of diverse backgrounds within your technical teams. Some organisations have been hasty in their approach and as a result have made only cosmetic changes when systemic moves were needed.
